Mr. Dierdorp left his home address in Papendrecht by train for a holiday, on March 10, 2012. He should have returned to The Netherlands on May 7, 2012. In March of 2012 Mr. Dierdorp was in Sarajevo in Bosnia. He was using a small tent to spend the night outside.

He had a red bicycle with saddlebags. This bicycle was found in April of 2012 near the village of Uvac in Serbia. He wears glasses, has a normal built, dark blond (greyish) hair and he misses a toe on one of his feet.
