Police are seeking two specific witnesses in the investigation into the death of a 78-year-old woman who was found in her home on Harderwijker Bank in Bunschoten on June 6, 2025. Do you know who they are or recognize yourself? Let us know!
On Friday afternoon, June 6, a report came in that a seriously injured woman had been found in her home in Bunschoten. The woman was rushed to the hospital. When officers arrived at the residence, they found that the home was partially overturned. A window was also broken at the front of the residence. The woman died in the hospital a few days later. A Major Investigation Team (TGO) was launched.
Extensive investigation
It is still unclear what exactly took place. We are therefore also conducting an extensive investigation into all possible scenarios and circumstances. We would like to talk to people who saw something or know more about this incident. We would also like to get in touch if people have doorbell or camera footage.
Specific witnesses wanted
We are specifically looking for two witnesses who spoke with police on the night of June 5-6 in connection with a car underwater along Heemstedesingel thv Zuiderzeelaan in Bunschoten-Spakenburg. From them we now know that they were two men possibly around 25 years old. They possibly spoke Arabic, Polish or some other foreign language. They were here with a bicycle, so they were possibly from Bunschoten-Spakenburg.
The investigation team would also like to get in touch with witnesses who spoke to a person coming out of the water that night.
