Forum LeakBase added to Checkyourhack
The Cybercrime Team of the Amsterdam Police, under the supervision of the Public Prosecution Service and in close cooperation with Europol, the FBI and several European police services, carried out an operation in which the forum LeakBase was taken offline.

The police secured the data of the forum, including user accounts, public and private messages, a credit system, and IP logs. LeakBase was primarily used for trading stolen data and has a total of 142,000 registered users, making it one of the largest cybercriminal forums.
Marketplace
LeakBase operated for years as a marketplace for stolen data. Criminals shared, bought and sold large amounts of datasets containing information such as: email addresses, passwords and other personal details. These kinds of platforms are the driving force behind cybercrime. Stolen personal data is repeatedly resold and misused, for example, for fraud, phishing, bank helpline fraud, ransomware and identity theft. Using an internal credit system and a reputation model, users built trust with each other, enabling LeakBase to continue growing.
Check Your Hack
In addition, the email addresses found were added to Check Your Hack, an online tool provided by the police that allows people to check whether their email address appears in databases stolen by cybercriminals. Check here if your data is present in this stolen database.
